I have both the calmatech and the secure pads that I use everyday for every aspect of riding. I really like the Calmatech pad on my horses that generally produce more sweat. The layer of felt really helps wick the sweat away to allow the pad to stay in place and perform. The EcoGold pad is hands down the most secure, form fitting & functional pad I have found and used. My horses backs do not get sore from unwanted saddle shift plus I feel my balance in the saddle has improved because of the pad performance!

I barrel race and absolutely love this pad! A problem I had with other brands was the pad breaking down. The eco gold pad has not broken down and has held its shape! I love the fact that I can wash it so it stays clean and doesn’t get nasty. My sensitive horses love the fleece bottom! I also love the way it fits all of my horses and allows for the saddle to fit the way it should. Another thing I loved is how the air spacer kept my horse cooler. Love this pad for my sensitive older guy! We use the Secure pad for our other horses but we have one older guy who has extra sensitive skin. All of the other pads that we’ve tried left him with rubbed spots. This pad doesn’t irritate his skin at all and it even keeps him nice and dry. He’s comfortable and happy with this pad and that’s worth a ton!
